House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., reportedly pitched a new budget proposal on Monday night.

Johnson’s latest plan includes between $1.25 trillion and $1.5 trillion in spending cuts, to offset a massive domestic policy package, Politico reported.

The total amount of cuts in the speaker’s plan surpasses what Johnson proposed to his GOP conference members last month but remains lower than the $2.5 trillion demanded by some conservatives.
