Speaker Johnson Mulls Backup to Continuing Resolution

Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., is considering a backup plan to fund the government in the event his much-maligned 1,547 page continuing resolution fails in the House, The Hill reported on Wednesday.

Word of a backup plan comes as Johnson is facing intense criticism on his proposed CR from President-elect Donald Trump’s inner circle.
