Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., told Newsmax he believes that the southern border gets fixed on “day one” of President-elect Donald Trump’s entry into office.

“I believe the president, on day one, we’ll have 90 to 100 executive orders on the border. And I think on day one, the problem begins to get fixed,” Paul told “Rob Schmitt Tonight” on Wednesday.

“Will there be some legislation that takes longer? Sure,” he added. “But I fully expect in the first two months you’re going to see criminal elements in our country arrested. And I will be shocked if you don’t. And I don’t think that requires any legislation.
