Sen. Marshall to Newsmax: Faith in FBI, Secret Service Waning

In light of the numerous security failures leading to the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kan., told Newsmax on Tuesday that Americans are losing faith in the FBI and Secret Service.

Ronald Rowe, acting director of the Secret Service, on Tuesday was set to testify before Senate lawmakers to clarify the lapses in security that led to 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks nearly killing Trump during a July 13 campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

While various explanations have been floated as to how such a clear line of sight for an assassin could have been overlooked, Marshall cautioned that “conspiracy theories are conceived when there’s a lack of information.
