Sen. Kennedy to Newsmax: ‘Very Surprised’ If Democrats Back RFK Jr.

Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., said Wednesday on Newsmax that he does not expect any Senate Democrats to vote for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s confirmation as health secretary, casting doubt on bipartisan support for the nominee.

Sen. Kennedy said he would be “very surprised” if any Democrats supported Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s nomination to lead the Department of Health and Human Services, signaling a challenging confirmation process ahead for the Trump nominee.

Speaking on “Finnerty,” Kennedy dismissed the idea that Democratic senators such as John Fetterman of Pennsylvania might support the nomination.
