President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for attorney general, Pam Bondi, will be confirmed, Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, who was present at Wednesday’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, told Newsmax.

“Yeah, she’ll be confirmed because she’s very, very qualified for this position,” Cornyn told “Rob Schmitt Tonight.”

“I noted that we had five former state attorney generals on the panel, including myself, and we know what it’s like to be attorney general of a big state for many years. Before that, Pam Bondi was a prosecutor in a small town and tried all kinds of cases. So I think she’s supremely well qualified.”
