Rep. Erin Houchin, R-Ind., told Newsmax Wednesday she wants to ensure Congress sets up President-elect Donald Trump for success.

Appearing on “National Report,” Houchin said she does not want to see a government shutdown, especially around the holidays, given the negative impact it would have on the military and border patrol.

The Indiana congresswoman said she received a copy of the 1,500-page bill last night and was going through it with her staff.
