Colorado Gov. Jared Polis and Democrats who put sanctuary policies in place in the state are now walking them back, which is “incredible,” Rep. Jeff Crank told Newsmax.
“You know, in 2023, Gov. Jared Polis put out on Twitter at the time that he was thankful that the Biden administration gave temporary status to Venezuelan refugees, as he called them in 2024, in the city of Denver,” the Colorado Republican said on Newsmax’s “Sunday Report.”
“Just last year, the city of Denver did a newcomer handbook trying to explain to other cities in America how they could also become a sanctuary city. In that document, they said that they had welcomed 42,000 people, illegal immigrants to our country. They don’t call them illegal immigrants. They call them newcomers.”
