President Clinton Discharged From Hospital

Former President Bill Clinton was discharged from MedStar Georgetown University Hospital on Tuesday after being treated for the flu, the deputy chief of staff for the former president said.

“He and his family are deeply grateful for the exceptional care provided by the team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and are touched by the kind messages and well wishes he received,” Angel Ureña said in a statement. “He sends his warmest wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season to all.”

Clinton, a Democrat who served two terms as president from January 1993 until January 2001, addressed the Democratic National Convention in Chicago this summer and campaigned ahead of November’s election for the unsuccessful White House bid of Democrat Vice President Kamala Harris.
