Former Rep. Pete King, while discussing the tariff battle pitting the United States against Canada, Mexico, and China, told Newsmax Sunday that his money is on President Donald Trump. 

“Any time you’re in a fight like this, which involves business, which involves being tough, I have to bet on Donald Trump,” the New York Republican said on Newsmax’s “Wake Up America Weekend.” “He knew what he was doing getting into this. He wouldn’t have gotten into this encounter unless he was confident that he’d come out better on the other side.”

The tariffs, which Trump unveiled Saturday, are about “key issues, the main one being stronger control of the border,” King added.
