America witnessed two deadly terror attacks on New Year’s Day because the “FBI and Department of Justice are far more focused on weaponization and going after [President-elect] Donald Trump than keeping America safe,” Republican National Committee Chair Michael Whatley told Newsmax on Thursday.
Shamsud-Din Jabbar, 42, drove a pickup truck into a crowd on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, killing at least 15 people and injuring dozens of others before being shot to death by police. Later in the day, a Tesla Cybertruck was detonated by Matthew Livelsberger, 37, outside the entrance to the Trump International Hotel, killing himself and injuring seven others.
Whatley said things will change “Jan. 20 when Donald Trump gets into office.”
