Outgoing Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., missed the final weekly press conference of his near two-decade stint as GOP leader for precautionary reasons after a fall last week, the Washington Examiner reported Tuesday.
McConnell injured his wrist in the fall leaving the GOP luncheon on Dec. 10. The 82-year-old began experiencing leg stiffness later in the week. The Examiner reported that McConnell skipped Tuesday’s leadership press conference as a precaution, adding that his leg stiffness was better.
Earlier Tuesday, McConnell was seen walking with the help of an aide, according to the report.
