Father Leo Patalinghug, founder of PlatingGrace.com, told Newsmax Wednesday that the rare confluence of Christmas Day and the start of Hanukkah shows how miracles bind the faiths of Christianity and Judaism.

“For our Jewish brothers and sisters, they light the menorah because they know that in the midst of the darkness, God will provide the oil for the lamps,” Patalinghug told “Newsline.” “And we just concluded lighting the four candles of the advent wreath, knowing that God does give us light.

“And we believe that Christ, who enlightens us about who God is, we share a common basis in that whenever there is darkness, and there is darkness in the world, we have the light of faith that helps us to see things through.”
