Rep. Gerry Connolly, D-Va., the ranking minority member of the Committee on House Oversight and Government Reforms, posted on X Monday, “This will be my last term in Congress.”

Connolly also said he will soon be “stepping back as ranking member of the oversight committee.”

Connolly announced in November in an open letter to his constituents that he had been diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus.
