A three-member, store-robbing gang has reportedly stolen many New York City ATMs, making off with tens of thousands in cash from 49 locations in three months, police say.
The group used stolen getaway cars after hitting stores in Upper Manhattan, The Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens from Sept. 19-Dec. 26, the New York Post reported.
The full total of the three-month crime spree is unknown to authorities, but in two robberies alone in September, the group made off with $40,000 in cash, according to the report.
