Rep. Don Bacon, R-Neb., shows no signs of letting up on his criticism of how President Donald Trump is handling the situation with Ukraine. He’s made a series of comments and claims about his displeasure with the president’s policies and strategies.

Just last Friday, Bacon took the moral high ground saying Trump does not understand “moral clarity” when it comes to working out a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine. Bacon said Trump’s leaning on Russia for a deal while keeping Ukraine at arm’s length sends the wrong message.

Bacon today told CNN that, “Ukraine is our ally. They want to be part of the West. Russia is our adversary, and it’s time that this administration gets this in their brain.” Bacon also said he is hearing from Republicans in Nebraska voicing concerns about the approach to the potential ceasefire.
