On Saturday, Parkland school shooting survivor David Hogg, 24, was among three people elected to the Democratic National Committee’s vice chair position.
“I’ve just been elected as a Vice Chair of the DNC,” Hogg posted on X. “I’m deeply grateful to the members for their trust and belief in me and I don’t take it lightly. Now it’s time to get to work.”
Hogg, who has risen to popularity as a gun-control activist, went on to vow that the Democratic Party would strike a position between an “aggressive” and nonjudgmental posture.
