Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., told Newsmax on Thursday that the “vitriol” aimed at Robert F. Kennedy Jr. by Democrats during his confirmation hearings was “disappointing,” adding he hopes that “nastiness” will “rally support” among Republicans who might be “wavering.”
Johnson joined “Finnerty” to discuss Kennedy’s two-day hearing for Health and Human Services secretary. Johnson said he’s “optimistic” that Kennedy will get confirmed but that he’s “never totally confident.”
“Some senators sort of lay in the weeds, and they don’t really tell you what they’re really thinking,” Johnson told show host Rob Finnerty.
