Egypt, Jordan Reject Trump’s Gaza Refugee Plan

Egypt and Jordan rejected President Donald Trump’s suggestion to host displaced Palestinians as Gaza faces rebuilding efforts after the Israel-Hamas conflict, Breitbart reported.

Egypt and Jordan, neighboring nations to the Gaza Strip, have dismissed a proposal from Trump to shelter displaced Palestinians while the region undergoes reconstruction. Trump’s remarks, made over the weekend, described Gaza as a “demolition site” after extensive destruction since the Hamas-led attacks on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.

Gaza has experienced unprecedented devastation since the conflict erupted, with Hamas carrying out targeted killings, torture, and other atrocities in Israeli territory, claiming approximately 1,200 lives.
