President Joe Biden has directed the Department of Defense to dispatch additional firefighting personnel and capabilities to combat the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles County, California.

In a series of posts on social platform X on Wednesday, the White House detailed the steps it’s taken to help extinguish the fast-spreading inferno.

According to one post, “two Modular Air Fire Fighting System units are being deployed from each of the California and Nevada National Guards, and ten Navy helicopters with water buckets are en route from San Diego.”
