Whoever is named the next Senate Majority Leader needs to ensure President-elect Donald Trump’s agenda is enacted, Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., told Newsmax on Tuesday.
Blackburn appeared on “Newsline” ahead of a leadership forum featuring the three candidates – Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., Senate Minority Whip John Thune, R-S.D., and Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas.
“What we need is a leader who is going to say the imperative is to get Donald Trump’s agenda across the finish line and signed into law,” Blackburn said. “And we should work diligently. We should work quickly on that. So, I’m going to see who has a game plan and is ready to put that game plan in place. That is exactly what we need to have happen.”
