Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, told Newsmax on Monday that “personality-driven” politics is the main culprit behind the political divisiveness in the United States.
However, on the eve of the presidential election, Cornyn said that’s for another time; Republican voters need to turn out to the polls on Tuesday to get GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump elected.
“Well, it seems to me like a lot of our politics these days are more personality-driven rather than policy-driven,” Cornyn told “The Record With Greta Van Susteren.” “But the fact of the matter is, there’s a huge policy differential between what President Trump presided over during his first term and what I believe he would be like in a second term.
